Miri : Part 5 - Sunset at Grand Old Lady

The finale activity to do in Miri - watch the sunset at Grand Old Lady. The Grand Old Lady is a magnificent structure of being Miri's first drilled oil well which took place in the year of 1910 by Shell Company. There is a Petroleum Museum in the area too but we reached there too late. It closes at 4pm. Or it could be 4.30pm. But we were there by 5pm.

For dinner, we went to Hazaro Bistro which is in the area too. You can see the view of Miri town and the South China Sea.

Dinner costs RM42 - fried rice, nestum squid, local vegetables and squid.

And I sat there enjoying my dinner, as I watched the sun setting and my continuous snapping of photos. I realised how annoying it can be when I shall just sit there and admire the view. But sometimes, I would like to immortalise my memories and look fondly back at.

If you would like to know what else can be done in Miri, you can read on my following posts:

Random evening on a weekday : Going to Pasar Malam Seberkas (Night Market)
How to spend 1 day in Miri : Morning to Tamu Muhibbah (Morning Market) and Fish Market. Mid morning to Miri Crocodile Farm. Evening to Miri Handicaft Centre and Grand Old Lady (this post).

Disclaimer: I did not take any public transport. Hence, I cannot relate on the time.
