Miri : Part 4 - Miri Handicraft Center

If you have half a day left in Miri and it is the second half of the day, I suggest an itinerary of visiting the Miri Handicraft Centre and then to the Grand Old Lady to catch the sunset. At the Handicraft Centre, there are lovely murals on the walls and inside, are small stalls managed by the locals.

In Pasar Malam Seberkas, the holder is sold for RM68 and here it is sold for RM38.90! Half the price! I have a photo which I blogged earlier.

I see one of the stall owners doing the beading. She tells me that she uses thread with thickness of '6'. She learnt this from her mother. She tells that the daughters follow what their mothers do. And I think she is very creative to do this because of the various designs one has to come up with.

So many pretty ornaments. At last, I settle to purchase a beaded bracelet for RM15. Yes, I did said I am a tourist, but I am also a girl who occasionally likes colourful shiny stuff. I feel like a crow.
