The Story
29072023: Today, we check out from our hotel in the mountains. For my breakfast coupon, I had ham, a boiled egg, and salad. And of course, the usual coffee and granola.

Then, we checked out at 10am and made our way back to Kuznice town using another route.

It rained when we arrived in Kuznice town so we stopped at the cafe that we had breakfast the first day to have coffee and use the toilet. Many persons took shelter in the cafe. Initially, we entered a random cafe but found out that there is no toilet available, so we looked for another cafe. I had to use the toilet.

When the rain stopped, we made our way into Zakopane town. We passed by a small grocery shop in Kuznice town where they sell disposable rain ponchos. One rain poncho costs PLN15 / SEK38 / RM17.50 / USD3.80. Quick online search shows disposable rain poncho for SEK15. It was a good thing we brought our own rain poncho.

There are taxis if one does not have the energy to walk from Zakopane to Kuznice and vice versa.

Or horses are available too.

When we were back in Zakopane town, I saw many pedestrian crossings with signs painted on the road - Put down your phone and go. I think this could be due to the many tourists who are not cautious about their surroundings as they are looking at the map while searching for the right direction.

We passed by a church and saw a network antenna on top. Very smart as a church has a high tower and definitely has better signals.

We chose a random restaurant to have lunch and also, it looked cloudy. So, we hurried up to find a place with shelter. It looks like a fancy place. My lunch was a ruby raclette - Swiss bread with sauerkraut, pastrami, a spicy tomtao sauce and baked with cheese - description per menu. Very yummy with the cheese. I thought I would be very full but I was not.

Then, we went to our hotel to check in. I chose Hotel Willy Labelle because it was one of the affordable ones that could match our preferences and located in the town center. Maybe it was not a good choice now that I think of it. We could have definitely stayed in the outskirt. Well, I thought we could explore the town but we could have walked to town too.

We continued to walk around the town. We saw stuffed geese sold everywhere. No idea what is the reason.

Had doughnuts because they looked appetizing from the glass pane.

We walked around aimlessly. My travel companions wanted to drink beer so we did that. Beer was sold very cheap in this restaurant. Karczma Czarci Jar restaurant. PLN12 - that is cheaper than the disposable poncho. As beer was so cheap, they drank 2 mugs of 500ml each. We had a view of a stream flowing next to the restaurant so it is quite soothing. Plus, there were no mosquitoes.

We tried our luck to see if there were any available spots to have dinner in Bokowo Zohyllina Wyznio restaurant. We were here two days ago but the restaurant was fully booked then. Today, we had bad luck too. My travel companions were sad that they could not experience some live music while eating Polish food. The restaurant has a very nice entrance and compound. We could wait for an available table but it means waiting behind a long queue. So, we left.

We went back to the restaurant that my travel companions had two beer each. The restaurant has a live music band too! We saw a music band setup when we left the restaurant earlier. When we came into the restaurant, the waiter said that there were tables available in the outdoor seating only. It was very crowded in the restaurant. We waited for one hour for our food and we were very happy to dig in! The night ended well in the end! Yippee.
