The Story

220717 : We woke up to the beautiful forest of Kullaberg Nature Reserve. There were lots of cars parked. There is a toilet which does not have the 'flush' function. There is ample space for one to pitch their tents. I saw people pitching their tents in the evening when we returned to the car after our walk. The walk starts at 10.20am.

The first place we go to is Josefinelust.

Josefinelust is a ravine and beach mall in Kullaberg Nature Reserve in Höganäs municipality. The place is named after Oscar I 's Queen Josefina , who on a visit to August 30, 1865 , thought about the beauty of nature here, and therefore the place was named after her. The first name change was called Möllebäcksmalen , when Möllebäcken flows out here.

In Josefinelust there are five caves. Fredrik VII's cave is named after the Danish king who visited the area in 1852. It is 6 meters deep and has been inhabited. The larger Josefinelust grotto is the most visited cave at Kullaberg and is furnished with furniture in the form of benches and tables that have been added recently. The smaller Josefinelust grotto is a cave that has been inhabited since ancient Stone Age . The Trollhole is Kullaberg's deepest cave, mapped to 50 m. It is the result of displacement of a mountain party and is therefore of the type of cave . The Oscars cave with the wine cellar is furthest east and is now partly razed. Source from Wikipedia.

We go down the stony steps to the beach. It can be tiring climbing back up as it is slightly steep. But don't worry, there are benches for people to take a breather.

The lovely beach. There were 2 caves located on the right side of the photo. I did not know there are another 3 more caves.

The smaller of the 2 caves. You can see Prof Sweet Tooth coming out from the cave. It was really small. You cannot step further in than 2 steps?

This is the bigger of the 2 caves with the benches inside.

We proceeded on to the top to see a panoramic view of the beach.

Now, we head back to find food. Prof Sweet Tooth remembered that he saw a restaurant in the map. But it was going to be a long walk. It was a cooling weather. So, I did not feel hunger. That is the plus point of a cold country. You walk and walk and don't feel tired.
