Maliau Basin : Part 3 - Day 2 Mid-Afternoon : Ginseng Waterfalls

07072016 : From Ginseng Camp, we trekked 300metres to Ginseng Waterfalls. It is very near the campsite. We have to cross a small stream which has rocks for us to step on. Then, we saw it. One of the must-see waterfalls of Maliau Basin - Ginseng Waterfalls. The waters were freezing cold. I am not kidding. Cold till the extend of pain. We played in the waters till 430pm because it gets dark fast in East Malaysia, and not to mention, quicker in the jungle.

In this photo, I was trying to absorb the chill from my legs. I had just walked inside the cold waters and the feet was in pain. And I carefully tread on the rocks and into the cold waters again to go to a mini waterfall where we washed ourselves clean.

Water massage here is amazing. It is cold. Painful. Clean. This is one of the group members, Lim Char Bo. Retired Form 6 Maths teacher. She is 62 years old. Mentally and physically fit.

Our dinner on the first night in the jungle. Stir fried vegetables. Chicken. Fish. And grapes with a lovely presentation on a leaf.
