Sweden : Part 2 - Day 1 Afternoon : Ostersund and Tannforsen

The Route:

Ostersund, Sweden -- Tannforsen Waterfall, Duved, Sweden

18092015 - The afternoon drive continues to Östersund where we went to an International Food Fair. We were lucky to be in town when there is a Food Fair! Fantastic to be surrounded by food from places I have never been before - Hungary, Italy, Greece. I love the booth from Britain because there are so many colourful sweets!

I got Greek Food - Gyros Plate (chicken, fries, Greek salad dressing, olive and cheese) for SEK90. It is very expensive, I agree for a meal.

Prof Sweet Tooth who just came back from France bought food from the French booth! Potatoes and chicken in creamy sauce.

We drove on to Duved to see Tännforsen, Sweden's largest waterfall. The visitor centre is closed when we arrived, so we did not pay any entrance fees, but the path to see the waterfall is open. So, it was just me and Prof Sweet Tooth exploring the place. Of course, it was cold to be so close to the waterfall.

Prof Sweet Tooth suggested to detour to Norway as the skies were cloudy and there was no chance of seeing the Northern Lights. I agreed and excited to be stepping inside Norway. The leaves were almost yellow, and it was getting colder! We saw many stenvalvsbro along the way which are arched stone bridges.

Next, we enter Norway and explore the nature at night!

Except for Northern Lights, we didn't had any opportunity to see the monster in the Lake Storsjön either, when we was at the Hoverberget and Östersund. Well, I didn't expect to see that monster, really...!

Oh I totally forgot about the monster story. But I did not expect that either. It would have been impossible.
