Bungee Jump : Leap of Faith in Sunway Lagoon

Last night, I had the idea of doing bungee jumping, as I was going to be free on Sunday. It was a plan to be done with my sister. I was bugging her to join me for a bungee jump. Since she will never be available, I went ahead by myself.

28092014 - The nearest place for me to do a bungee jump was in Sunway Lagoon Theme Park. Guess what! I get to go in for FREE because it was within 6 days of my birthday. Free! I was so surprised. If not, I will be paying RM90 with a MyKad. Without the MyKad, it will be RM120. That will be foreigners' rate. Everything in Sunway Lagoon is cashless, and one has to top up money in the barcode which is on the wrist. I paid RM100 because bungee jump has to be paid separately. The bungee jump rate is RM75 for a MyKad holder, without it will be RM130. The difference. My goodness.

I reached the place slightly after 10am, and there were no other customers. I asked if the staff could take my photo and they said there were only 2 people up at the jump counter, and unable to snap the photo. So, advisable to wait for other customers. Before I went up the bungee jump area, I weighed myself and it is written on my left wrist (I am not 52kg but slightly more), and I have to sign an indemnity form.

A couple came up earlier than me, and I saw how he did. He did flawlessly without hesitation. At the bottom, a kayak raft came to collect him. At my turn, I asked the lady to snap my photos and she helped me to video prior to my jump.

Once my legs were tightly secured and harness worn, I made small jumps to the edge. My heart started to beat harder. It was just a 21m fall but I was hesitating. I was telling them that I don't want them to do this. The staff said that he will count 5,4,3,2,1 and I do a freefall. He counted twice, and my legs were rooted to the ground. Finally, on the third time, I did it. I did not realise I was falling until I fell the wind on my face, and there was no fear. But when my legs were pulled back by the rope and the harness, I felt the fear. I was shouting 'Mummy' non-stop until the boat came to pick me. I was afraid to be hung upside-down.

The video of me screaming.

Since I had a free ticket, I ventured the entire place. I took some water rides including the vuvuzela! The vuvuzela is a huge water ride and is 30 meters in height and 152 metres in length of water ride. Then after, I proceeded to Wild Land by 1pm because they were going to feed the animals. From tiger to sunbear to panther to birds to porcupine to raccoon and finally to ducks.

And my last ride was a safe ride on the Wheel Wagon. I wanted to try the Scream Park ride but it starts at 2.45pm, and it was only 2pm. I decided to call it a day because I have to get ready in the evening for a musical play!

We did it, Elisabeth Ng! We bungee jumped!
