Now that my hitch-hiking adventure is done, my friend and I went to the Walking Street which was just behind our hotel. I saw a stage where the locals were karaoke-ing. We were so hungry and thirsty. The first thing I bought was coconut water. I was dehydrated. That done, I went to find local food. As most of the local food here is quite similar to Malaysia's, I decided to take the spring roll. The texture of the skin is different though. It feels rubbery but the vegetable is yummy. Mostly because I was very hungry. Spring roll is THB30.
We walked in circles and when we came back to the stage, we saw performers (I could identify two were male, and maybe one is a female but my friend tells me all are male) dancing and singing. The music was catchy and we found a good spot to sit, right in front of the stage. Then, one of the solo performers pulled my friend up to the stage. Now, I can confirm that the solo performer is a male. I guess my friend was selected because he is a foreigner and he sat right in front. They did a bit of dance, and then the performer requested a kiss from my friend. My friend requested one first on the cheek. So, the performer gave one. And when my friend in turn kissed him back, the performer turned, and I am not sure if the lips met. My friend said no, but I am in doubt. Haha! Overall, it was hilarious and pretty memorable to see 2 men lock lips, or maybe 'brushed' lips.
Here, I present my friend, Neil Levy. Now, if you see him somewhere, you can say hie to him, and how you read about him. He is friendly, and since we met in Thailand, he has travelled to Malaysia (we met again in KL where I brought him around), Vietnam, and Taiwan. I am not sure when will our paths cross again. This is one of the persons who I clicked so well, because we share the same interest and done similar things - draw, trek to Everest Base Camp, dive (but he is an Advanced Diver), writes poems (he writes more intense stuff than me), read (he reads mind-boggling, mind-provoking, deep-thoughts books and one of his favourite genre includes English Literature), travel (he travels more than me), no interest in cars (PLUS POINT!) and best of all, the same age! Honestly, I have not met anyone who has shared these similarities with me - draw + read + write + trek + dive + travel. I hope we meet again, Neil Levy!
After the performance, the performers came down to the ground and offered themselves to have their photos taken with the audience. Of course, I took one! I agree with whoever who concludes that I pale in comparison to the performers. They are so attractive.
We left Krabi the next day and stopped in Hatyai to shop for 2 hours. We reached Malaysia at 730pm. I reached KL Sentral at 330am. What a holiday!
