I have such a terrible cough. I am coughing my lungs out every night. Then, my colleague suggested to me to eat raw garlic. So, I took one clove of garlic from the kitchen, skin it off, and swallow it. Well, being a Chinese, we have garlic in all our dishes. I am going to see if this remedy works. If it does, goodbye to modern medicine. You stink!
Back to my last post of Da Nang.
We have not used all the tickets for the Hoi An Ancient Town. So, 2 of us decided to go to the other places.
First place visited - Hoi An Folk Museum. Nothing much inside.
Trung Tam Old House which we looked from outside. Now, I know why we only can visit one place of each attraction. Everything seems to look the same now.
Hai Nan Chinese Temple.
Minh Huong Ancestor Worship House. My friend said that she stood at the entrance and have seen it all. So, we did not go inside. But I totally agreed with her.
We went to the market to have a drink. Their dessert are super sticky and thick.
We continued our way, and passed by an Art Gallery. Okay, no photography allowed but I am just showing you how it is.
Clothes factory. I think I know where most of the clothes are made now.
For lunch, we stopped by a restaurant near our hotel. Incidentally, it is a famous restaurant. How we know this is looking at the recommendations written and put inside the menu. The customers speak highly of her food, and her jovialness.
We had grilled pork - VND60,000 (USD3 / RM9). Grilled pork can be rolled inside rice paper and eaten.
White rose - dumplings look alike. VND60,000 (USD3 / RM9).
Rice pancake. VND60,000 (USD3 / RM9). Inside the pancake is bean sprouts and pieces of pork.
Green papaya salad for VND55,000 (USD2.75 / RM8.25)
A plate of free fruit.
Then, we were given a piece of paper to write our recommendations. Only then did I understood why there were so many recommendations written. The customers can't say no to an empty piece of paper.
After lunch, we got a hired ride for USD20 to go to Da Nang Airport. It is going to take us 45 minutes. Along the way, we stopped at Han Market in Da Nang to buy the yummy ham, grated pork and squid.
And that is the end of my post for Vietnam.
