Bukit Gasing : The Easy Trail

Two and a half years ago, I moved from KL to Selangor. I just got myself mobile and I was so prone on getting lost. Well, not that I have improved much today. Back then, I was keen to explore the areas of Selangor. One weekend, I was determined to find the famed place of Bukit Gasing. I hear the name so often among my friends, and off I go to find the area. I did manage to find the place after getting lost numerous times, circling the area. I fail big time.

07112010 - I went to Bukit Gasing in a afternoon and it was not so hot. Well, it is not going to affect me regardless because I will be walking through the trees. Trees to shield me from the heat and the rain.

The trek was surprisingly easy because of the steps. I went there alone, and hence I did not dare venture elsewhere. But I went there a second time and I met a frequent trekker in Bukit Gasing who brought me to another trek, where there are no stairs. It was not so steep but it was a good exercise, and I was not disappointed.

The path is flat most of the time, and I would said that it is safe for a good jog. The easy path reminded me very much of MacRitchie Reservoir Park in Singapore.

The trail is quite easy being labelled with papers.

The signboard states "Animals in Bukit Gasing". It explains that the animals are not spotted easily as they will roam during dawns, dusks and nights; camouflaged themselves; are frightened by noises and some of the birds have migrated.

Now, the thing that frightened me was the last sentence
"If you are quiet and patient, you can see many types of animals including the one next to this board."

I was .... "uh-oh.. where?"..

Well, the one thing that intrigued me to look for is the suspension bridge. It's very steady. Definitely unlike the HSBC Bridge in MacRitchie Reservoir Park. That one is so stiff as it is made of steel, but this is just planks and ropes.

I walked out and ended up in front of a playground. My legs did not ache at all. Very much different from my other treks where my legs always ache.

Overall, it is a nice place for a good exercise.
