Playing with Water : Part 1 - Sungai Gabai

I am back! Did you miss me? I miss writing! I made my Chinese New Year card, and the baby shower event went well! Now, I am back to being 'not-busy'. I have no idea what to do during the weekends now. Time to find new places to go too!

02022013 - A month back, I was keen to visit 2 places - Sungai Gabai Waterfalls and Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest. Two friends agreed to follow me, and today, the almost-2-hours-drive brought us to the first place - Sg Gabai Waterfalls. I was happy when I reached here, because once again, the place I want to go so badly has come true.

We decided to go to Sg Gabai first because it was comparatively more beautiful than Sg Congkak. I parked outside to avoid the parking fees. The entrance fee is RM1 per person.

There is a stall that sells junk food. We brought our own meals to have our own picnic. I saw a few families that did barbeque. Lots of effort to bring the food up!

The landscape was really beautiful here, despite being man-made. This place is really suitable for family outings and even for a date.

There was a staircase that will bring us to the top. I counted and there were 330 steps. Well, I could be wrong. I am always counting stairs wherever I go.

We have reached the end of the stairs.

We walked further up to get a spot for ourselves to sit, and play with the water. The place was shady, cooling and that can be a disadvantage after playing with the waters, because we needed a place to warm ourselves.

We left the place at about 2pm, to head to our next destination - Sg Congkak Recreational Forest! It was in the same area too! I feel so lucky!!
