National Science Center : Part 2 - From Dinosaurs to Robots

Now, I am headed to see the exhibitions, and I came face-to-face with 2 huge dinosaurs! They were in the open area, which I believed is right under the dome. The Brontosaurus and T-Rex were moving (their heads only) and making noises. Cool. The exhibitions were located on the 2nd floor.

Ta-da, the first exhibition - Age of the Giants! And there were so many dinosaurs inside. The dinosaurs moved, make noises and some look too fake.

These dinosaurs can come out from its hide, via a mechanical wheel. So, as they come out, they make a loud roaring noise.

The next exhibition - Android!

As I was staring at the hand, suddenly it .. moved. I jumped.

I touched the skins. The one on the left is soft, middle, not-so-soft, and on the right is just nice for a skin.

The officer came up and explained about the Android. This is a first-generation technology of Android. Malaysia got it after 8 years. The second generation can respond accordingly. The responses are controlled and limited. Anyway, the Science Centre rented this for 3 months only.

The controlled responses behind a poster.

Finished with the exhibitions, I found myself in the kids' area. How I wish I could play inside!

Walking in a maze of mirrors that look similar. I have to feel the wall to make sure I am walking through the right way, and not bang myself on the mirror.

There was a Science Show. When I reached there, they were talking about liquid nitrogen. They were showing how to put a big balloon inside a box of liquid nitrogen. The balloon shrunk. And once the liquid nitrogen is blown off the balloon, the balloon grew back. I learnt that no one can touch liquid nitrogen because any living thing that touches it will crumble due to shocking cold temperature of -400 degrees Celcius.

I saw a kaleidoscope. I love kaleidoscopes! All mirrors are angled at 60 degrees.

Out from the Science Centre, I ventured the parks.

That marks the end of my adventure in the National Science Centre or famously known as Pusat Sains Negara. It is definitely a place worth visiting, for anyone from any range of ages.
