21.01.2015 to 22.01.2015 : For the next 2 days, the only thing I did is this diving mantra "Dive Eat Sleep Repeat".
Dive - 7 dives for 3 days. 3 dives on Day 2 and Day 3 each. 1 dive in the morning before I left.
Eat - Fried noodles with fried egg for breakfast. Fried cucumber and fried fish for lunch and dinner. If there is more than 1 guest, there are more dishes or other variety. I did had chicken on one lunch.
Sleep - I sleep by 10pm and wake up by 6.30am.
On the morning of my 2nd day in Mabul, the skies were cloudy. I was hoping for a clear blue sky. But the clouds were overwhelming. I did manage one dive in the morning though. Unfortunately, no dive in the late morning because it started to rain and the wind was strong. I was shivering sitting outside, and I hid in my room. And when the wind subsided, I took selfie of me lying on the hammock. I continued my 2nd dive about 2pm. My underwater photos are in my next post. Or some sort of photos. Unfortunately, my SJ4000 is not clear. I need to invest in a GoPro. In the evening, Mr Jeff himself came to the guesthouse with his friend. I did a sunset / night dive with him and his friend in front of his guesthouse. It did not come across my mind though that we were pretty near the "toilet". But I did had a good time swimming underwater with the current.
May I introduce the members of Scuba Jeff Guesthouse - Jeff himself is the one with the yellow hair on the right. In the middle is his friend. Behind is the dive instructor, Des. Seated on the right is Junaidi, the guesthouse manager and also a dive master. I am the one on the left.
On the morning of the 3rd day, we have a beautiful weather. The sun was shining so bright. The skies were clear. I can feel the heat. I believe I got a suntan today, as I lied on the hammock. We did 3 dives today. Can you see how clear the water is? You can see my reflection against the waters as I lied on the hammock. And another reflection as I sat on the bench. Can you see my form?
I LOVE THIS PHOTO OF ME! I am lying on my favourite yellow hammock basking in the sun, pretending to read. This is me heating myself after the first dive. So I willingly lie under the sun.
In the evening, Mr Jeff buys some squid for dinner. He buys from the Bajau Laut. They come paddling in their boat to the guesthouses to sell their catch. We bought 10 squids for RM20. They are big squids, and according to my friend who goes to the market (I don't go to market), this is cheap. So, the only seafood I tried is squid and fish. I did not try any others because I am a solo guest and I cannot be buying a 1-portion seafood.
The two photos below were taken by Mr Jeff. I love the photos! The fish eye effect. That is me and his friend, Zzul. I am so glad I chose Scuba Jeff Guesthouse. The staff are great. I had a good talk with them. Junaidi, the guesthouse manager kept me company and he told me a lot of the Bajau Laut and his various jobs. Des, the dive instructor brought me to nice diving spots and showed me lots of minute marine life.
Overall, I had a lovely time. Thank you, Scuba Jeff and team!
