Fraser's Hill : Part 2 - Fooling Around

06042014 - At 6am, the call for prayers rang out. We were parked in front of the mosque. This is a familiar calling that I have grown up with. Where I grew up, I lived 5 houses away from the mosque. Where I am currently staying, we have a mosque in the neighbourhood. I can tell the time whenever I hear the prayers. I went back to sleep. At 7am, I woke up by the disgruntlement of my stomach. I lay in my car seat, munching on my bread with eyes half opened. At 8am, all of us woke up to prepare breakfast. Well, by that, I mean my friends. I, on the other hand, snapped photos of gorgeous huge bright coloured flowers that were in front of the mosque.

My friend fried vegetable fritters, cooked rice (can you believe it took 30 minutes to cook the rice on the mini stove), boiled water for our tea, heated up the chilli paste, tuna curry and salted egg. Yummy breakfast. All this happen right next to our cars, in front of the mosque. Of course, we cleaned up. Don't leave any litter behind.

After breakfast, it was time for the photo shooting session around Fraser's Hill. I love the pine trees, the English themed houses and the mist.

We went back to the playground to use the public toilet. The toilet is clean. No worries. One needs to pay 30cents to use the toilet. There, we saw a mini golf area. One needs to pay to play golf. An adult needs to pay RM8 for 15minutes and a kid is RM6. You get a putter and a golf ball. It does sound expensive to me.

I love the playground. I love the swing. I love the see-saw. I am a kid trapped inside. One Malaysia on the see-saw. Malay, Indian, Chinese and an Iban (from East Malaysia).

We were on our way home by 11am. There is one route to leave Fraser's Hill. It's just a one way. The same goes for going up to Fraser's Hill. It is much safer this way. You don't have to worry about incoming cars. I saw the gate exit which states 'Welcome to Selangor'. I turned behind and it states 'Welcome to Fraser's Hill'. That is the welcome entrance I missed the day before because I was driving very early in the morning. It was too dark for me to be snapping photos.

Exiting the gateway, we saw a hanging bridge and took a group photo!

I love my weekend in Fraser's Hill! It is not so boring after all. Have the right company and the right attitude, and you can have fun anywhere.
