After lunch, we are headed towards Hillary School. It was a school built by Mr Edmund Hillary. The school is also known as Khumjung High School. It was lunch break when we visited the school. So, we could see students playing outside. I was very surprised at the spaciousness of the school. The compound is huge. We entered into a library, an art gallery and a classroom. There was no one inside. The teachers were having their lunch break too. We spent an hour in the school, mostly because I stopped a lot to snap photos.
Then, it was a walk up back to Namche. I saw the steps and I groaned.
We passed by a field that rears yaks, but there were no yaks. Disappointed. When we walked along the route, it reminded me of the song 'Country Road', because of the dusty path and the cloudy skies.
"Country road, take me home..."
We saw locals painting on a huge rock. According to the guide, the monastery hire the locals to draw.
We reached back our lodge at about 3pm. We hung our clothes to dry in the room. See how we hang our clothes. My sister brought a clothesline which can be hooked to anything. Of course, we need to find a thing to hook on. We hooked against the curtain hook and the other end hooked to the door handle.
For dinner, my sister had Sherpa Stew because she was not feeling too good from the heat and the wind. She started to cough too due to the dry air. So, she was drinking lots of hot water, and took cough syrup. I had vegetable sizzler. The noodles really sizzled. I am pleased with my food. Well, I am easily pleased with any food in front of me.
You cannot deny the truth of that phrase.
And here is a YouTube video (Day 3 : Acclimatisation in Namche) that my sister did. You can click on the link to go to the YouTube video just in case the video loads too slow in this post.
