Next stop - Marble Mountain. Before that, the driver brought us a statue carving factory. Statues made from marble. I dislike going to factories where there is a shop for you to enter and purchase stuff. I dislike this sort of tourist stuff.
We were then on our way to the village to go to Marble Mountain. The road to the village is just next to the statue carving factory. There were many small stalls selling marble statues, and there were also many small factories carving statues. The one that we went was the largest.
The entrance to Marble Mountain. Marble Mountain is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills. There is a lift to get to the top of the mountain. VND15,000 for the lift, one way. So, going down is via the stairs. There are just 150 steps to walk. Yes, I counted the steps.
The entrance fee is VND15,000 (RM2.30).
The map of Marble Mountain but we only went to a small part of it due to time constraint. Website state Marble Mountain as a must-see place, but I do not see anything significant about it.
The highest spot and the view from it.
After the walk down, we were headed to Hoi An, which was another 35 minutes drive.
