From the National Museum, I headed towards Taman Tasik Perdana. I chose to go straight towards Taman Kancil dan Rusa i.e. The Deer Park. It was a short walk about 5 minutes away. No entrance fee. There were no visitors at all, and I thought how scary it must be! Finally, I saw one tourist with her daughter. The little girl was very excited to see the deers. Well, I was too! Haha!
Then, it was a walk to the National Monument. The landscape was beautiful along the way. However, it was quite a distance to the National Monument. Not too long, but because it was noon, 20 minutes felt like forever!
The sign that states Tugu Peringatan Negara - National Monument brought a smile to my face! While walking towards the entrance, there were some beautiful sculptures by the Asean countries.
I love this the best.
Yay, the entrance to the National Monument. It was a very proud feeling to walk inside the place. The National Monument was built to remember the soldiers who died during World War 2.
I am fortunate to be living in Malaysia, albeit the occasional encounters with racism and sexism, but I can sleep peacefully at night. Walking out from the National Monument, I was not sure where my next destination was going to be. I looked around and saw - The Butterfly Park!
