Finished with lunch at Lijiang Impressions area, we were back on the bus to see the next spot - White Water River. We are still in Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Geopark. Yes, there are lots of things to see. We opt to walk around the lakes in the area, as we thought we could snap more photos. But boy, were we wrong. We were too tired and it was a bit of a distance to walk to the White Water River from the stop. There was a tram service but one has to get tickets. You would think that it is free because it is in the park. We thought since we were part of a tour package, we did not need to worry about the tickets, but wrong again. We took the tram, and when the driver asked for the tickets, we could not show them, and was told to leave the tram and we walked back. According to the tour guide, if we had followed him (instead of us walking) to take the tram, he would have given us the tram tickets. It is okay, I tell myself. I will see another White Water River in another country. Haha!
So, here are some pictures of the lakes. I cannot remember the name of the lakes, because they are all engraved in Mandarin. The lakes are so blue, but according to my friend, not as blue as the ones in Jiuzhaiguo. Since it was cloudy, there was not much of glittery lakes to see. So, there was not much of 'wow'.
We were in the area for about an hour. Then, it was a bus ride (thankfully, the bus ride provided by the park was free. One must always prepare to pay for anything in China.) to the main entrance where our tour bus was waiting for us. It was about 3pm. I was exhausted, mostly because I was sick. All I wanted to do was sleep. Back in the tour bus, my friend offered me a tiny orange. Well, it is sort of in the Mandarin orange family, but really tiny. And guess what - the skin is edible! It is sweet! I so like.
Next destination - Dongba Valley and Jade Water Village.
