Happy Valentine's Day! It's the day of love. Love is all around. Well, everyday is always a day of love. Someone happened to choose this day to publicise it. I just found out recently that Muslims do not celebrate Valentine's Day because it is a Christian festival. Then, there were opinions that it is coincidental if a Muslim showers love to the spouse today, and if it happens everyday, why is it wrong? Living in a multi-racial country makes you think a lot.
And this is my last China post!
13 Feb 2011 - The last day to wander around Guilin. I was very keen in seeing Reed Flute Cave. And the receptionist at the YHA we stayed gave very good directions to the bus stop. I can't believe I took the bus there! The ride is so cheap! It costs RMB1. In Malaysia, there are no bus rides this cheap.
Here I am at Reed Flute Cave. It is very similar to Seven Star Park. The ticket costs RMB90. Wow! I am very sure it is going to increase in time to come! So, the stones formation got special names. It seems that every stone formation has a name.
I think the highlight of this cave is the lights on the floor. There were music played and the lights changed according to the music. The lights on the floor appear and slowly dim away.
I took the bus back and went to a local market. Remember, when you visit a new place, go to the local market! That is where you learn everything and see everything. After the market, it was a walk back. And I walked to the local park in Guilin. The scenery was gorgeous.
At night, we watched the Lijiang Acrobatics Performance in Dreamlike Theatre. They were really good. While snapping the photos, one of the officers came up to me and said no photography allowed. Well, I heard Flash photography was not allowed, and hence I didn't use flash. I did not know it meant no photos allowed. Hmm..
The following day, me and my companion parted ways. It was an unforgettable trip. I never thought I will be able to meet her again. One day, I hope we can meet again. Maybe I will go to the States. When money start growing on trees! Haha!
P/S: She has an amazing voice. When I heard her voice, the first thing I thought was fragile glass. It feels like her voice is barely touching water. Get what I mean?
