Guilin : Part 4 - Rice terrace in Longsheng!

Happy Early Valentine's Day! What have you planned for Valentine's Day? A friend said that everyday is a day of love, there is no reason to exceptionally celebrate it. I agree to that. I am a die-hard romantic person. I love listening to love stories, how couples meet, how the boyfriend proposes, how the little love actions make the day so special and what each other half go through to be there for each other. Celebrate the day with all the love!

Back to my Guilin trip.

12 February 2011 - We are in Longsheng. Longsheng is famous for its rice terrace. It reminds me of Bali, Indonesia. I guess every mountainous country has its own rice terrace.

My friend got a ride on the bamboo chairs. I think it costs about RMB380. I walked along the steps. It was quite misty, and we could not see some of the scenes. We would have waited longer if it was not for the bus we had to catch in the afternoon.

The bus to Longsheng. The buses run 6 times a day only. We took the 1pm bus, which costs RMB8. Also, by the way, there is a price to enter into Ping'an Village which is RMB50. Every entrance has to be paid.

That night, upon reaching Guilin, we stayed in the hostel till the next morning. It was so cold....
