Happy New Year's Eve! I am going to Ipoh and Taiping. Yahoo! I will post up photos if the trip is worth posting up. But I know it will definitely be!! :-)
18 Sept - Today is the last day of the trek. How the heart dreads leaving the trek. Maybe it is due to the change of the environment that I feel happier here. And maybe I will get tired of it after a month. There are too many maybe's.. But I know for sure it was with a heavy heart I trekked back to the start of the trek.
Destination - Back to Naya Pul. The morning of the trek, I woke up early and snapped photos of the village. Too many beautiful flowers.
The last breakfast on the mountains - mashed potatoes with egg. Extremely filling! I do not believe I lost any weight in this trek. I think I weigh the same. Haha! Or possibly even more.
Us and the assistant guide, Pradip. He is an extremely down-to-earth and humble person. He is one of the good guys still around. The rare breed. We are wearing our trekking top from the company - Himalayan Glacier Trekking.
Back in Birethanti. Waited here for 2 hours to have lunch, because we reached at 10.30am.
At the end of the trek.
We have succeeded in completing the trek! I could not ask for a better company, for a better crew and for a better time.
Since we had time to spare before our flight (back to Kathmandu) at 3.30pm, we stopped at the famous lake of Pokhara - Phewa Lake. One can supposedly see the view of the Himalayan Mountains Range but the clouds cover them up.
Back at Pokhara Airport. The plane got delayed for an hour because it was raining in Kathmandu. At the airport, I read 'Karma Sutra'. Interesting. It was for sale.
For dinner, we were treated at Rum Doodle. We could order whatever we want. We had the Rum Doodle beef steak. Extremely filling. The place was filled with trekkers. And if one is able to conquer Mount Everest, you can eat for free. I was told later after we left the place that Sir Edmund Hillary signed on one of the walls, and I didn't notice that. Next time then!
So, in Rum Doodle, the unique thing was the foot on the wall. I took a small foot because they ran out of big ones. And wrote our names! And stuck it by the entrance of the door.
It was an amazing holiday. I made new friends in Tibet and Nepal. I am still keeping in touch with them. One day, dear friends, we shall meet again!

Happy New Year, everyone!
