Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year! The Year of the Dragon is here!! :-) I am born in the year of the Pig. Please don't calculate my age. :-) 

Anyway, here are the Chinese New Year cards I started to make since the year of the Pig. 

2007 - Year of the Pig. Not creative at all. 

2008 - Year of the Rat. I start to make animals for the year. :-) Of course, my ideas came from outside.

2009 - Year of the Ox.

2010 - Year of the Tiger. This idea came from a Chinese New Year card I saw but the word 'Xin Nian Kuai Le' was not there. I changed it. I am not such a 'copycat'. :-)

2011 - Year of the Rabbit. This year, I tried with tiles! I bought them and have not used them before. I love them, they are glittery!

2012 - Year of the Dragon. My brother-in-law said it look like a cannon. Hmph. I said he lacks creativity! The tiles are the scales.

If you noticed, all my cards have a large amount of yellow paper. That is because my surname is 'huang' which means yellow!

I am very proud of my work of art. :-)
